Kobolds Ate My Pen Test! - Rapidographs

I drew a simple image and inked it using my top three tool sets. Thus far, those who have seen and compared all the images have preferred the Rapidographs hands down, and I must admit a certain partiality towards them. The downside of the Rapidographs however is that they take much, much longer to ink with as I have to switch between several pens and go over all the basic lines again in order to generate the specific look of “Jala’s comic style.” The brush pens are considerably faster to use. In fact, my least favorite – the Kuretake – is the absolute fastest. My second favorite – Akashiya – takes slightly longer than the Kuretake, but not by much. The Rapidographs take 3-4 times the duration of either brush pen set.

Thus, I am still on the fence about which tools I want to use for the Kobolds comic. As it is just me generating this comic by myself and my favorite tools take considerably more time to use, I am admittedly tempted to use the Akashiya instead. As much as I say that however, it is far more likely that I will buckle and opt for quality of line over swiftness and still use the Rapidographs despite their inherent lack of expedience.
